The 100% owned Shihan VMS property is located in east-central
Ontario, approximately 70 km northeast of Wawa, Ontario and
approximately 12 km north of Missanabie, Ontario within
Challener, Glasgow and Meath townships in the District of
Algoma, and Rennie Township in the District of Sudbury. The
property covers 29 contiguous, staked Crown Land claim blocks in
419 claim units totaling 6,704 ha.
The Shihan VMS Property
comprises favorable host rocks for Volcanogenic Massive Sulfide
(VMS) mineralization. Within the property boundariess, the Zinc
Zone presently hosts a historical resource of 67,132 tonnes at
12% zinc and 280 g/t silver within a mineralized envelope of
312,072 tonnes at 3% zinc and 124 g/t silver (formerly known as
the Zinc Zone, Rennie Silver or Conboy Zn-Ag Deposit). Both
resources were completed by Westfield Minerals in 1980, and do
not satisfy any of the requirements outlined in National Policy
43-101. They should not be relied upon and should be viewed as
historical. The Zinc Zone is associated with zinc, silver and
minor amounts of copper, lead and gold. Discovered in 1939, the
immediate core area hosting the Zinc Zone was the subject of
sporadic exploration, including surface drilling. Additional
reconnaissance exploration on portions of the remainder of the
property included government airborne geophysics and lake
sediment sampling for precious and base metal mineralization.

Report on Phase I Drilling of the Shihan VMS Property
(PDF - 12MB) The Shihan VMS Property has been explored
intermittently since 1939 when Jack Tremblay of Missanabie,
Ontario discovered zinc mineralization (Zinc Zone) south of
Conboy Lake in Rennie Township. Sporadic drilling on the
property began in 1953 and continued every decade with 89 drill
holes totaling 10,651 m completed from several Companies (Coulee
Lead & Zinc Mines Ltd., Westfield, Canamax, Noranda and
Falconbridge). Additional work included Resource estimations,
mechanical stripping, trenching and geological, geochemical and
geophysical surveys. Several vintages of airborne geophysical
surveys were completed between the 1960s and 1980s covering
parts of the property.
