Rockcliff Management Profile
Our goal is simply to become mine finders. Our
unwavering belief in that goal is based on the understanding of what we
believe we can be the best in the world at (exploration), what drives
Rockcliff’s economic engine (drill discovery) and what we are passionate
about (geology). To achieve our goal we decided to search in a mining
friendly country with proven historical mining camps hosting prolific
geology, “high metal value” mines, untapped exploration potential and
modern state-of-the-art mining infrastructure controlled and operated by
a senior mining company.

The opportunity to acquire high quality mineral
properties with the necessary “critical mass” required for continued
growth to reach our ultimate goal was discovered in the world class Flin
Flon Greenstone Belt of Manitoba, Canada. Manitoba has the best policy
environment in the world for mineral investment as rated by exploration
and mining companies worldwide (Fraser Institute Survey). This belt is
one of the most prolific and the largest Proterozoic VMS district in the
world. It is also Canada’s richest greenstone belt in terms of value of
production plus reserves per square kilometre. Since the 1930s, the Flin
Flon and Snow Lake VMS camps, have mined over 180 million tonnes from 27
mines (one new mine every three years) rich in copper, zinc, gold and
silver. Presently, HudBay Minerals is mining three deposits in the belt
and in 2007 they discovered the Lalor Lake VMS Deposit at Snow Lake.
This world class deposit is estimated to contain at least 20 million
tonnes of high grade zinc, copper and gold; a testament to the belt’s
prolific nature of discovery after 80 years of mining. |
